Welcome to Chris Hierlihy Pottery
Chris Hierlihy is a Guelph based potter, specializing in functional stoneware. His work is on display in shops and galleries throughout Ontario and can also be seen at various Craft and Art shows each year. He teaches children and adults at both the Delhi Community Center in Guelph and the Ottawa School of Art.
Chris is excited to announce that beginning in May he will be apprenticing with Scott Barnim in Dundas, Ontario.
In September of 2006 Chris won the Jane Graham Memorial Award, a bursary set up to aid in the professional development of local artists. The funds are being used to attend Sheridan College’s Ceramics Craft and Design program. Chris would like to thank the Graham’s, the Guelph Arts Council and everyone involved in the jurying process for the honor of the award.
Chris would also like to gratefully acknowledge Pottery Supply House and the faculty of Sheridan’s Ceramics Program for the receipt of the 2007 Pottery Supply House Award. The award is for achievement in the Ceramics Program.
